Hanuman Ansh Surges Again, Crosses Rs.300 Crore India Gross

Hanuman Ansh has crossed the ₹300 crore mark in India gross collections after a strong seventh Saturday at the box office, extending the unusually long theatrical run of Vishal Chaturvedi’s devotional drama.

The film earned an estimated ₹9.75 crore net in India on Saturday, September 19, its 44th day in theatres. That was a jump of about 95% from the ₹5 crore it collected on Friday, according to box-office data cited by Sacnilk and reported by Times of India and NDTV.

With Saturday’s earnings added, Hanuman Ansh reached ₹258.13 crore in India net collections and ₹304.80 crore in India gross collections after 44 days. Its reported worldwide gross stood at ₹329.30 crore, including ₹24.50 crore from overseas markets.

The milestone came during the film’s seventh weekend, well beyond the point at which most releases see their theatrical collections fall sharply.

A strong seventh Saturday

The film was screened across 7,119 shows in India on September 19 and recorded overall occupancy of around 30%. The strongest audience turnout came later in the day, with reported occupancy rising to 42.23% during evening shows and 45% at night.

That performance gave the film another sizeable boost after its ₹5 crore seventh-Friday collection.

The latest figures also underline how sharply the film’s fortunes have changed since its opening. Hanuman Ansh began its theatrical run on August 7 with an opening-day collection of just ₹10 lakh. Its first week brought in about ₹1.08 crore, according to the trade figures cited by NDTV Profit.

Collections accelerated considerably in the following weeks. The film recorded around ₹10.40 crore in its third week, followed by approximately ₹61 crore in the fourth week and ₹90.25 crore in the fifth. It added another ₹80.25 crore during its sixth week.

From a slow start to a major box-office run

Hanuman Ansh is a Hindi devotional drama inspired by the life and teachings of Neem Karoli Baba. It was written and directed by Vishal Chaturvedi and stars Shobhinaw Satyaa and Chandan Anand, among others. The film was released in India on August 7, 2026.

The film’s official website describes it as a live-action story centred on Neem Karoli Baba and lists Swambhu Media Network as its producer and intellectual-property owner.

Its financial scale has also been a major part of the box-office story. Several established publications have reported a production budget of around ₹2 crore, with some reports putting the figure closer to ₹1.8 crore. Because the precise production accounting has not been independently published in the sources reviewed, the budget is best described as reported rather than an independently audited figure.

Worldwide collection reaches ₹329.30 crore

The ₹300 crore figure needs to be separated by collection category.

As of Day 44, the film had reached ₹304.80 crore in India gross, while its India net collection was ₹258.13 crore. Overseas gross collections stood at ₹24.50 crore, taking the reported worldwide gross to ₹329.30 crore.

The distinction matters because box-office reports often use “₹300 crore” to describe different totals. In this case, the film had crossed ₹300 crore in India gross by its seventh Saturday, while its worldwide gross was already close to ₹330 crore.

Earlier in the week, Hanuman Ansh had already crossed ₹300 crore worldwide. Indian Express reported that the film reached ₹300.25 crore worldwide after 40 days, with ₹280 crore coming from India gross and ₹20.25 crore from overseas at that stage.

One of 2026’s notable Hindi box-office performers

The film’s sustained run has also moved it into the upper tier of Hindi releases this year by reported gross collections.

India Today reported earlier this month that Hanuman Ansh had moved into the top three Hindi films of 2026 by worldwide gross after overtaking Mirzapur: The Movie and Bhooth Bangla.

Filmfare similarly reported on September 18 that the film had become the third-highest-grossing Hindi film of 2026 at that point, based on the trade figures available then.

Those rankings can change as other films continue their theatrical runs, so the position should be treated as a point-in-time box-office comparison rather than a permanent ranking.

The film’s unusual trajectory

What separates Hanuman Ansh from a conventional box-office success story is the timing of its growth.

Instead of opening strongly and gradually declining, the film started with modest collections and gained momentum weeks into its theatrical run. Reports have attributed the turnaround largely to audience word of mouth and the film’s growing reach among viewers interested in its spiritual subject matter.

The film’s official promotional material also places particular emphasis on its spiritual theme and its portrayal of Neem Karoli Baba’s teachings.

Director Vishal Chaturvedi has subsequently spoken about the film’s unusual journey and the difficulties involved in making it on a limited budget. In an India Today podcast published September 17, Chaturvedi discussed the film’s reported ₹2 crore budget, its initial performance and the role of promotion and word of mouth in bringing audiences to theatres.

For now, the seventh Saturday has added another significant figure to the film’s running total. With ₹304.80 crore in India gross and ₹329.30 crore worldwide reported through Day 44, Hanuman Ansh remains in theatres deep into its seventh week.

The figures for Sunday and the rest of the seventh week will determine how much further the film’s theatrical run can extend.
