NSE IPO Listing Date, Issue Price and Key Details Explained

NSE IPO Listing Date, Issue Price and Key Details Explained

The National Stock Exchange of India’s much-anticipated initial public offering is scheduled to make its stock market debut on Thursday, September 24, 2026, following the completion of its ₹22,561.57 crore IPO.

The listing will take place on the BSE, rather than on the NSE itself. The distinction matters because the National Stock Exchange cannot list its own shares on its own platform. Current IPO information identifies BSE as the listing exchange for the issue.

The IPO opened for subscription on September 17 and closed on September 21. The basis of allotment was scheduled for September 22, while refunds and credit of shares to successful applicants were scheduled for September 23.

NSE IPO listing date and issue price

The NSE IPO was offered at a price band of ₹1,700 to ₹1,785 per equity share. The final offer price was fixed at the upper end of the range at ₹1,785 per share. NSE’s own investor-relations disclosures show that the final offer price was announced on September 21.

The issue consists entirely of an offer for sale (OFS) of up to 12,64,36,650 equity shares. There is no fresh issue of shares, meaning the proceeds from the offering go to the existing shareholders selling their stakes rather than to NSE for new capital.

At the final offer price, the issue is worth roughly ₹22,561.57 crore.

The retail lot size was fixed at eight shares, putting the minimum application value at ₹14,280 at the upper end of the price band.

IPO received 5.71 times subscription

The IPO attracted bids for more shares than were available during its three-day public bidding period.

According to the final subscription figures reported on September 23, the issue was subscribed 5.71 times overall. The qualified institutional buyer portion, excluding the anchor allocation, was subscribed 12.68 times, while the non-institutional investor category was subscribed 6.55 times. The retail portion received 1.39 times subscription.

The subscription figures provide a picture of demand during the IPO period, but they do not determine the price at which the shares will begin trading on September 24.

The actual listing price will be established through trading on the BSE.

NSE IPO timeline

The key dates for investors who applied for the issue are:

Event Date
IPO opened September 17, 2026
IPO closed September 21, 2026
Basis of allotment September 22, 2026
Refund/fund release September 23, 2026

BSE listing September 24, 2026

The exchange’s regular equity market begins at 9:15 a.m., while the pre-open session begins at 9:00 a.m. NSE’s published market timetable provides the standard trading schedule, although the applicable listing-session arrangements are governed by the exchange’s listing procedures.

Why the NSE listing is notable

The IPO marks a significant change in how investors can access shares of the company.

Before the public offering, NSE shares were traded in the unlisted market. The IPO provides a route for shareholders to trade the stock through a recognised stock exchange after listing. Financial Express reported on September 23 that the September 24 debut will shift NSE shares into regular exchange-based trading.

The offering is also one of India’s largest IPOs. The ₹22,561.57 crore issue places it among the country’s biggest public offerings, although the company itself is not receiving fresh capital because the issue is entirely an OFS.

What should investors watch on September 24?

The immediate focus will be the price at which NSE shares begin trading compared with the ₹1,785 issue price.

Unofficial grey-market prices have been reported by several market publications ahead of the listing. Those indications are not part of the regulated stock-market price discovery process and can change quickly. They should therefore be treated separately from the actual BSE listing price.

Investors who received an allotment should also be able to see the shares in their demat accounts following the scheduled September 23 credit.

The first trading session will provide the first regulated market price for NSE’s publicly listed equity. Until then, any quoted grey-market indication remains separate from the exchange-traded price.

For now, the confirmed timetable points to September 24, 2026, as the NSE IPO listing date, with the shares scheduled to debut on the BSE.
