Faridabad Gangrape News: 13-Year-Old Allegedly Assaulted in Abandoned Building, 3 Held

FARIDABAD: Three men have been arrested in connection with the alleged sexual assault of a 13-year-old girl inside a dilapidated building in Greater Faridabad, while police continue searching for three other suspects. The incident took place on August 24 and was reported to police more than a month later, according to officials and reports.

The Faridabad gangrape news came to light after the girl’s mother noticed significant changes in her daughter’s behaviour and questioned her. The child then disclosed the alleged assault, following which her family approached the police. The girl’s 16-year-old male friend was also allegedly assaulted and robbed during the incident.

What Happened In Greater Faridabad

According to the complaint, the girl went to meet her friend after leaving tuition classes on August 24. The two were subsequently followed by a group of youths and allegedly taken inside a deserted building in the Greater Faridabad area.

Police said the accused threatened the two minors before the alleged assault. Reports identify the three arrested men as Kunal, Deepak and Yash. They were produced before a local court and sent to three days of police custody.

The case has attracted renewed attention to Delhi NCR women safety, particularly the safety of minors in isolated or poorly monitored public spaces. The building where the incident allegedly occurred was described as dilapidated and vacant.

A separate case involving alleged sexual harassment of a schoolgirl in Tamil Nadu had also recently highlighted child-safety concerns and the use of the POCSO framework in such cases, as reported in an earlier sexual harassment case involving a minor.

Police Say Gangrape Allegation Is Still Under Investigation

An FIR was registered at the BPTP police station on September 29 on the basis of the family’s complaint. However, the Faridabad police spokesperson said the allegation of gang rape had not yet been confirmed and that investigators were examining the complete sequence of eve

This distinction is significant for accurate Haryana crime news reporting. The allegations made in a complaint and the charges eventually established through investigation or court proceedings are not the same as a finding of guilt.

The police have confirmed three arrests and said teams are working to locate the remaining suspects. The investigation is continuing, and further evidence is expected to clarify the roles of those accused.

Case Brings Focus Back To Child Safety

The case has added to wider concerns around Delhi NCR women safety, particularly where minors encounter isolated locations without adequate adult supervision or security.

For the Faridabad gangrape news currently under investigation, authorities have so far confirmed the filing of the FIR, the arrest of three suspects and the continuing search for others. The allegations remain subject to investigation and judicial proceedings.

The latest Haryana crime news also underlines why details in cases involving minors must be reported carefully, particularly when allegations have not yet been established by a court.

According to The Indian Express, the arrested suspects were remanded to police custody and investigators were working to identify and apprehend the remaining
