Hanuman Ansh Box Office Collection Day 22

Hanuman Ansh is showing a striking late turnaround at the Indian box office, with early tracking on Friday putting its domestic net collection at around ₹13.41 crore by Day 22.

The Vishal Chaturvedi-directed spiritual drama had a modest start in theatres but picked up considerably during its third week. Box Office India 24’s latest live tracking, updated at about 1:22 p.m. IST on August 28, estimated ₹2.57 crore net for Day 22 so far, taking the cumulative India net to ₹13.41 crore. The figure is provisional because Friday’s theatrical business was still underway.

The numbers being reported by different trade trackers are not fully aligned. The Indian Express, in a report published Friday afternoon, put the film’s collection at ₹12 crore, citing industry tracker Sacnilk and describing the film’s third-week jump as the key reason behind its turnaround.

That difference is worth keeping in mind when discussing the film’s current total. Box-office figures published during an ongoing day are estimates and can be revised.

A slow start, followed by an unusual surge

Hanuman Ansh opened with around ₹10 lakh on its first day. Sacnilk’s figures cited by The Indian Express put the film’s first-week collection at approximately ₹1.08 crore, followed by about ₹40 lakh in its second week.

The film’s fortunes changed sharply in its third week.

According to the latest day-wise tracking from Box Office India 24, the movie collected approximately ₹67 lakh on Day 16, ₹1.84 crore on Day 17 and ₹1.04 crore on Day 18. It then rose to about ₹2.26 crore on Day 19, ₹1.51 crore on Day 20 and ₹1.86 crore on Day 21.

The Day 22 estimate of ₹2.57 crore, if sustained through the remainder of Friday, would give the film another strong day.

The scale of the reversal is notable because the movie had accumulated only ₹1.66 crore by the end of Day 15 in the same tracking dataset. By the end of Day 21, that figure had climbed to ₹10.84 crore.

Reported ₹2 crore budget puts the performance in perspective

The film’s reported production budget is between ₹1.8 crore and ₹2 crore, according to The Indian Express. Based on the approximately ₹12 crore figure cited by the newspaper, the theatrical collection had already reached several times the reported production cost.

However, box-office collection should not be treated as the same thing as producer profit. Theatrical revenue is shared among exhibitors, distributors and other stakeholders, while production and marketing costs also affect the final economics of a film.

Still, the size of Hanuman Ansh‘s reported theatrical run is significant for a movie made on such a comparatively small budget.

What is driving the late run?

Hanuman Ansh tells a spiritual story based on the life and legacy of Neem Karoli Baba, with Shobhinaw Satyaa in the lead role. The cast also includes Chandan Anand, Purnima Tiwari, Anil Rastogi and Gulshan Pandey. Vishal Chaturvedi wrote and directed the film.

The film appears to have benefited from growing word of mouth and audience interest during its theatrical run. The Indian Express reported that the movie gained attention on social media as its collections accelerated in the third week.

The film’s makers have also described an unusually restrained promotional campaign. Chaturvedi told The Indian Express that the team had limited money for conventional promotion and instead organised eight bhandaras, which they regarded as part of the film’s campaign and a way of spreading Neem Karoli Baba’s message.

Chaturvedi also said the filmmakers had approached spiritual leader Premanand Maharaj before release and received advice concerning the lead character’s lifestyle. Those comments were reported by The Indian Express from an interview with the director.

The release date was changed before the theatrical run

There has also been some confusion over the film’s release date in online listings.

The movie was initially scheduled for July 31, but the makers subsequently postponed the release to August 7, 2026. The change was reported by the Times of India, which cited an announcement shared by trade analyst Taran Adarsh.

India Today likewise reported that Hanuman Ansh was released in cinemas on August 7.

That August 7 date is also consistent with the latest day-wise box-office tracking, which identifies August 7 as Day 1.

Where the box office stands now

As of the latest available Friday update, the most aggressive live tracking puts Hanuman Ansh at approximately ₹13.41 crore net in India, with an estimated ₹15.82 crore gross domestic collection.

Those figures remain provisional because Day 22 had not finished when the update was published. Other trackers were reporting lower cumulative totals earlier in the day, illustrating the normal variation between real-time estimates and later reconciled figures.

The film’s overseas contribution appears to be negligible in the available trade data, with Sacnilk reporting no overseas gross in its latest published figures.

For now, the most significant part of the Hanuman Ansh box-office story is not simply the total but the timing of the growth. After two relatively quiet weeks, the film found a much larger audience in its third week and has continued to post substantially stronger daily numbers.

With Friday’s business still being counted, the final Day 22 figure will determine just how far the latest surge takes the film.
