Samsung Galaxy S26 FE Price, Specs, Camera and India Availability
Samsung has officially announced the Galaxy S26 FE, bringing a new Fan Edition smartphone to its Galaxy S26 family with a 6.7-inch 120Hz AMOLED display, Exynos 2500 processor, triple rear camera system, and Samsung’s latest One UI 9 software.
The phone was announced on August 27 and is set to reach select markets from September 4. In the United States, Samsung has confirmed a starting price of $699.99 (Approx. Rs.66000) for the 128GB model. In India, Samsung’s product and registration pages are live, but the company has not yet published an Indian price. Its India sale page currently points to September 18 as the sale date.
Galaxy S26 FE specifications
The Galaxy S26 FE has a 6.7-inch FHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a 120Hz refresh rate and peak brightness of up to 1,900 nits. The handset measures 161.6 x 76.9 x 7.4mm and weighs 193 grams.
Samsung has fitted the phone with its Exynos 2500 processor, built on a 3nm process. Memory and storage configurations include 8GB of RAM with 128GB, 256GB or 512GB of storage, although Samsung notes that availability can vary by market and carrier.
The phone runs Android 17 with One UI 9. Samsung says it will receive seven generations of Android OS upgrades and seven years of security updates from the global launch date. That makes long-term software support one of the more significant parts of the S26 FE package.
The design retains the slim profile associated with Samsung’s recent Galaxy S models. It comes in Graphite, Blueberry and Pistachio, with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus+ and an aluminium frame. The device also carries an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance.
Triple camera system gets Samsung’s AI treatment
Photography is another major part of Samsung’s pitch for the S26 FE.
The rear camera system consists of a 50MP wide camera with optical image stabilisation, a 12MP ultrawide camera with a 123-degree field of view and an 8MP telephoto camera offering 3x optical zoom and up to 30x digital zoom. The front camera has a 12MP sensor.
Samsung is also bringing several software-based camera features to the phone. Its ProVisual Engine is designed to improve image processing, while Nightography is intended to reduce noise and preserve detail in low-light photography.
For video, the phone adds Horizontal Lock to Super Steady Video. Samsung says the feature uses the phone’s sensors to keep footage level even when the device is rotated.
Another new feature is My FanCam. It allows users to select a person from a wider video shot and create a subject-focused tracking crop from the Gallery. Samsung is positioning it as a way to keep a particular person in focus after an event has already been recorded.
Galaxy AI moves further down Samsung’s lineup
The Galaxy S26 FE is also the first device in the S26 family to launch with One UI 9, according to Samsung.
The software includes an updated Now Brief, expanded Now Nudge functionality, and a broader version of Circle to Search. Samsung says the phone can also use Photo Assist for AI-powered image editing through natural-language prompts.
The company is additionally offering Gemini Omni support for eligible users, with a six-month Google AI Pro trial included in the package in markets where the promotion is available. Samsung cautions that AI functionality can vary by country, language, device and account.
The company has made software longevity a central part of the S26 FE’s positioning. Alongside seven generations of OS upgrades, Samsung promises seven years of security updates. That is a longer support commitment than many buyers historically expected from a mid-range or Fan Edition phone.
Battery and charging
The Galaxy S26 FE carries a 4,900mAh battery. Samsung rates the phone for up to 29 hours of video playback under its testing conditions.
Wired charging is supported at up to 45W, while wireless charging goes up to 15W. Samsung says the phone can reach about 69% charge in around 30 minutes when used with a 45W adapter. The adapter is sold separately. Wireless PowerShare is also supported.
Price and availability
The Galaxy S26 FE starts at $699.99 in the United States, where select carriers will begin offering it on September 3, followed by Samsung.com, carriers, and retailers nationwide on September 4. The US version is listed with 128GB and 256GB storage options.
Samsung has announced September 4 availability in select international markets as well. Storage configurations and colours can differ by country.
For India, Samsung’s official product page confirms the Galaxy S26 FE and lists the device specifications, but the phone is currently marked as not for sale. A separate Samsung India registration page says the sale will go live on September 18. Samsung has not announced an Indian launch price on the official pages reviewed for this report.
That leaves the Indian price as the key detail still to be confirmed. Until Samsung publishes the figure, dollar pricing or unofficial rupee conversions should not be treated as the phone’s Indian retail price.
