iPhone 18 Pro India Sales Begin as Apple Store Queues Form Across Major Cities
INDIA: The iPhone 18 Pro India launch moved into its retail phase on Friday, September 18, with the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max going on sale at 8 a.m. Customers arrived at Apple stores for both pre-booked orders and walk-in purchases, with long lines reported in Delhi, Noida, Gurugram, Mumbai and Bengaluru. The iPhone 18 Pro Max sale follows pre-orders that opened on September 12.
Apple Store Queues Grow Across Major Cities
The Apple store queues began forming before opening time in several cities. At Select Citywalk in Delhi’s Saket, buyers gathered early, while Noida’s DLF Mall of India recorded another large turnout for the launch.
In Mumbai, customers were reported to have waited through the night outside Apple stores. In Bengaluru, buyers were also seen arriving early, including customers who travelled from other parts of India. According to the Indian Express, videos and reports from the launch showed crowds across multiple cities.
The scenes have made the launch highly visible beyond online pre-orders, although crowd sizes varied by location.
iPhone 18 Pro India Prices And Availability
Apple has priced the iPhone 18 Pro from ₹1,64,900 in India, while the iPhone 18 Pro Max starts at ₹1,79,900. Both models were available for pre-order from September 12 before the general retail launch on September 18.
The iPhone 18 Pro Max sale includes customers collecting pre-booked devices as well as buyers seeking walk-in availability. The first-day demand is especially visible at Apple’s flagship outlets, where some customers arrived several hours before opening.
The new Pro models feature upgraded hardware. Apple lists a 48MP Fusion Main camera with variable aperture, the A20 Pro chip and a next-generation vapour chamber among the key features. The company also says the Pro Max offers up to 43 hours of video playback.
